I am new to the group and have just learned about letterboxing. I am
preparing my first letterbox and having a ball doing it.
Hope you all have a successful hunt in May :)

Hello Pilgrim,
(Trying to say that in my best John Wayne voice)
Welcome to the addiction. In case you need some questions answered
or just want to check out some letterboxing sites here are a few
sites you can check out. There are regional chat lists also, but
since you didn't post an area I haven't included that information.
Don
Letterboxing.org:
http://www.letterboxing.org/faq/faq.html
Silent Doug's site:
http://www.letterboxing.info/
AtlasQuest:
http://www.atlasquest.com/
Ryan has a link set up "Code of Conduct" that is really good for all
boxers to read
newboxers' group:
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/newboxers/
Where there is no dumb question, and is "the" place for many
newletterboxers.

Went on my very first letterboxing safari yesterday. Had a wonderful
time and found two boxes here in Eastern Massachusetts. My first find
ever was BorisDM's letterbox at Wareham Rest Area, my second find was
Mermaid Mom's--The Beetle-- in Wareham, MA and the third one was gone,
the area is under construction and that letterbox was by
Dragonfly&BothHands named Plymouth Rock in Plymouth, MA
This was all done on May 1, 2005. I emailed the boxes owners to let
them know that i found the box and it was in tact or let them know the
area is under construction. I hope i did this right. I clicked on the
little green flag to enter the info but it didn't work. Don't know why.
I learned more by finding the boxes. they had a disclaimer in them,
ink pen, and ink pad also. I am still putting my first box together. I
want it to be special :) It will be hidden in Plymouth, MA
Thank you for sending me the other letterboxers sites Don, that was
thoughtful of you :)

I started a little web page for my letterboxing. I was wondering if
anybody knows anything about web pages. Like when i download a picture
i can't get it on my web page and how do i make page 2 of the page
without wiping out the main page?
www.geocities.com/v128b
Any info would be helpful..........thanks! :)

You need to rename your newletter.htm file to index.htm. You always
need your main page to be index.htm at geocities. That should fix
your main problem.
You need to use the img tag to insert an image on a page, rather than
link to the jpg. There's a lot of free online HTML tutorial that can
walk you thorugh it.
Hope that helps.
